PORCELÁNKA HAAS & CZJZEK - HORNÍ SLAVKOV
In terms of history the porcelain factory in Horní Slavkov is the oldest in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia and has been in continuous operation since its establishment. It was established in 1792 by Georg Paulus. Georg Lippert, mine physicist and physician born in Slavkov, had merit in the blossom of the porcelain factory as well as the town within the years of 1803 - 1843. In 1867 Georg Haas and Johann Czjzek took the lead, and these names had engraved the factory´s world fame for the longest period of its existence, till 1945.
he porcelain factory in Horní Slavkov can boast about the set with the emblem for Elisabeth II, Queen of England, ordered on the occasion of Her Silver Jubilee in 1977. In 1995 Louise Sophie vase was decorated by the motifs of St. John of Nepomuk and presented to the Most Holy Father in Vatican on the occasion of St. John of Nepomuk´s martyrdom anniversary. In 1994 Mrs. Olga Havlová personally chose the set which is used in prestige premises of the Prague Castle.
